Twice as Nourished: an intimate, innovative new addition to London supper clubs

London-Supper-Clubs-recess-living

Picture the scene: soft, flickering candlelight. Artfully arranged blooms on a beautifully set table. A luxurious, fresh scent, layered with enticing smells wafting from the kitchen. The pleasant thrum of conversation where everyone has the space to speak, the rumbling of laughter where people feel safe to be themselves. You’re sitting at one of the hottest tables on the London supper club scene.

Now, picture this scene at your co-working or co-living space. Imagine the conversations that your community could create. Imagine the bonds they could forge. Imagine the camaraderie they could discover. And imagine the sense of ease, joy, and contentment with which they’d float away from the table, even if – especially if – they initially arrived in a different frame of mind.

What you’re picturing is my unique, cutting-edge Twice as Nourished London supper clubs. They’re perfect for community building and engagement, and make an ideal addition to your wellbeing calendar because as well as serving delicious food with delicious aesthetics, they take full heads and turn them into full hearts.

So, if you’re a venue manager looking for the next addition to your hand-picked events calendar or work on an employee wellbeing and engagement team and want to try something a bit different, here’s what my Twice as Nourished London supper clubs are, and why they’d be perfect.

What are the Twice as Nourished supper clubs?

Twice As Nourished is an intimate London supper club series that brings people together with bespoke experts in an innovative format. Instead of sitting on a stage, the headlining experts – specially selected thought leaders, culture changers, creatives or Mental Health & wellness practitioners inspired by the theme of your supper club – take a seat at the table with you. Throughout the meal these ‘guides’ will help navigate the conversation, which will help your team navigate their emotions, giving them the floor to share their thoughts. This combination of close personal experience and curated professional expertise makes it dinner with a difference.

In short: delicious food, and even more delicious conversations, leaving you feeling twice as nourished. (Clever, huh?)

What makes this London supper club series so special?

Twice as Nourished supper clubs invite teams and communities to not only break bread together but to break down barriers together, as they share their stories, experiences, or learnings around mental health and wellbeing. This makes it an ideal alternative to a panel format, if you’re looking to add some variety to your events calendar.

What kind of topics can Twice as Nourished supper clubs cover?

You can choose from one of our signature supper club themes such as ‘Burn to Bloom’ or ‘The Messy Middle, or we can create a bespoke offering for your community which reflects the values of your collaborative space.

Burn To Bloom

Created for the maiden Twice as Nourished London supper club and planned to coincide with the Spring Equinox, the Burn to Bloom theme is all about those times when to create some magic, you have to first make a mess. It invites attendees to explore those moments of life when you have to strike the match and burn what you once knew in order to honour your current truth.

For the first incarnation of Burn to Bloom – and the inaugural Twice as Nourished supper club – we sat in the presence of our guides Happiness Consultant, Changemaker, and author Samantha Clarke (who’s spoken on bills alongside the likes of Hilary Rodham Clinton) and Therapist, Head of Mental Wellbeing at 1Rebel, and Master fitness trainer Jessica McKee.

The Messy Middle

The Messy Middle supper club theme is dedicated to discussing the bit of the journey we hardly ever talk about: the middle. The bumpy bit between starting on your quest, and finishing triumphant. It’s designed to help attendees discover how to find peace while exploring the twists and turns of forging a new path.

Previous guides for The Messy Middle have included the brilliant therapist, coach and author of ‘What the hell is life??” Aisha Gordan-Hiles.

A bespoke theme, curated just for you

Is there a topic in particular that you’d like to tackle? If so, I’d love to put together a personalised event for you.

For example, I worked with Sophie Cliff, The Joyful Coach, on a supper club centring around Choosing Joy, to celebrate the launch of her new book by the same title.

What is the food like at a Twice as Nourished London supper club?

Rest assured that at a Twice as Nourished event, it’s not just the conversation that flows. We work with our partner chefs, such as Alice Katie Studio, to create a mouth-watering supper club menu that showcases seasonal produce and demonstrates the delights of plant-based eating. In addition, each menu is especially curated to reflect the evening’s theme, and will go hand-in-hand with paired (but optional) prompts for each course.

How can the Twice as Nourished supper club benefit my community?

Thanks to the bespoke element of each Twice as Nourished London supper club, this format can benefit your community in so many ways.

For example, it could form a totally unique team-building or wellbeing event, where everyone could get to know each other a little better and come together as a cohesive team.

Alternatively, these London supper clubs work perfectly for celebrations of particular awareness days, such as International Women’s Day, World Mental Health Day, Black History Month, and more.

They’re also a really special way of celebrating a special milestone, such as a book launch or partnership announcement.

Ok, I’m sold – what are the next steps?
